Direct Air Systems was founded by Jack Shahi over 30 years ago and remains a family-run company. We started in Bolton and we are still headquartered there — at 290 Healy Rd — with a second location and working fireplace showroom at 162 Bullock Dr, Markham. We are not a franchise, a call centre, or a private equity rollup. Every job we do is quoted by our own team, installed by our own licensed technicians, and backed by our own workmanship guarantee.
About Jack Shahi — Founder & HVAC and Fireplace Expert
Jack Shahi founded Direct Air Systems after more than a decade working in the HVAC and hearth industry across the GTA. His background combines hands-on installation experience with the business knowledge needed to run a multi-location operation serving thousands of GTA homeowners over three decades.
Jack holds Lennox Premier Dealer and Lennox Powered by Samsung Dealer credentials — the highest tier of Lennox dealer certification available in Canada, requiring factory training, installation quality standards, and ongoing performance benchmarks. He has guided thousands of GTA homeowners through furnace replacements, heat pump installations, and fireplace selections, with a consistent focus on honest advice over maximizing ticket size.

Our Approach
We will tell you if a repair is still reasonable before recommending a replacement. We will tell you which rebate programs are actually active before you apply for something that has closed. We will not upsell you to a system larger than your home needs, because an oversized system short-cycles, wastes energy, and creates humidity problems.
Note on the name: there is a completely separate, unrelated company called Direct Air HVAC (directairhvac.com). We have no affiliation with them. Direct Air Systems Ltd. was incorporated in Ontario and has operated under this name for over 30 years.
